Matte black finish, 19mm (3/4")

This product is on sale. I have noticed that adjustable sliders are hard to get an even matte black finishing coat on in production, possibly because of the moving bar.  I inspect every piece of hardware before bagging, and discard the ugliest ones.  If a blemish is located on the back or on the slider bar that will be covered by a strap, I let it through the blockade. If the blemish is just an area where there is an uneven finish but it's still black, it passes inspection.  I try to catch them all but I can miss something. I inspect hundreds of pieces at a time*, apologies in advance if I miss a few!  I know beauty is subjective, and my standards could be higher or lower than the next person's, so I look at a piece and decide on whether I would use it on a bag I was making to sell.  If the answer is no, it goes in the discard pile.

Discarded ones can be found in the TOONIE BIN.

*I'm immersed in black metal all day, LOL!  \m/ \m/

In a nutshell, the black finish is a thin coating on top of a silver coloured base metal like zinc or aluminum. It's gorgeous, but it isn't perfect. Be aware that the matte finish is more prone to showing imperfections,, and the coating in general can wear off over time. If you scratch it with something sharp, the silver underneath can become visible.

They are cut by the meter (not yard)- but a meter is 39.5". I like to round up to 40" when I measure and cut your order, so you get a little more than a meter each time!

How many darkest bag supplies are in this shop? At the time of my July 2023 inventory count, there are 335 unique items!

I mostly work alone. I'm either "in the warehouse" (the basement), or "at the office" (a chair in the corner of my bedroom). Sometimes my boyfriend or my friend/neighbour will give me hand. The cats sometimes 'supurrrvise' me while I'm at the office. But for the most part, there is only one person running all aspects of the business.

Since I get asked this often, I'll add this here. (It's also mentioned in the Shipping Policy.)
Lettermail is not offered due to the lack of tracking and insurance to protect both of us.
It is also too time consuming to determine whether the product can be made flat enough to fit in a Lettermail slot that is no thicker than 2cm(1").  Then unbag the products and repackage them, and then tape them onto a piece of paper, so they are as flat as possible, and don't shift in the envelope while in transit.  They then have to be padded for protection, and sothat they don't tear through the envelope.  The product plus the thickness of a bubble mailer makes it too thick for Lettermail.  Then I have to go out and purchase an envelope of the size required to ensure all products are taped flat, then acquire sufficient postage.  Since I predominantly ship parcels and print shipping labels, I don't have all sizes of Lettermail envelopes and denominations of stamps on hand, so a trip to the post office is necessary.
