Trim up your bag or wallet flaps with this BJ-themed Sandworm V-shaped metal trim in sexy matte black!
If your bag or wallet flap isn't the same curvaceous shape as these trims are, I've listed some instructions below on adapting an existing pattern piece.
Sold individually.

Instructions
- If this trim doesn't match the curve of your flap pattern, you can adjust the shape of the curve of your pattern's flap piece by laying this trim onto the pattern, and tracing around the bottom. Continue the shape of the curve beyond the trim on both sides, to meet up with the lines on the pattern, for a smooth transition.
- If you're adding stabilizer and interfacing in your front flap to make it a little sturdier, you can dry test the trim on the stabilizer to see if it sits nicely, before cutting out your material (fabric, vinyl, etc)
- Once the flap sewn and turned right side out, dry test the trim piece again for fit to be sure it fits. If it's good, continue with assembly. If not, make any necessary adjustments to the pattern piece.
- Topstitch your flap, if desired before attaching the trim.
- Slide the metal trim on again and screw it in place. Do not punch holes for the screws. Do use an awl to poke a tiny hole, and let the screws go through the fabric. That is where the strength is coming from.
- You can use a clear, fabric glue like Gutermann HT2 or E6000 in the channel of the trim for extra strength.
DID YOU KNOW?
MATTE BLACK FINISH
In a nutshell, the black finish is a thin coating on top of a silver coloured base metal like zinc or aluminum. It's gorgeous, but it isn't perfect. Be aware that the matte finish is more prone to showing imperfections, and the coating in general can wear off over time. If you scratch it with something sharp, the silver underneath can become visible.
It's all soooo worth it though - you can have matte black make a statement, or take a back seat to your fabric and let it pop. Your choice!

They are cut by the meter (not yard)- but a meter is 39.5". I like to round up to 40" when I measure and cut your order, so you get a little more than a meter each time!
