Canada Post Free Ship Tuesdays in October

It's that time of year again Canada!
Canada Post Small Business Account holders can create 1 free shipping label each Tuesday in October to either a shipping address in Canada or the US!

THERE 2 TUESDAYS LEFT IN 2024:  OCT 22, and OCT 29.

To get your free shipping label from Canada Post, here's what you do:

- If you haven't already, sign up for a free Small Business Account* with Canada Post (Note: You will need a credit card to sign up because if your package exceeds the weight limit, they will charge your card for the difference. In my experience, if that happens, it has only been a couple of dollars!).

- While signed into your account, create your free Canada Post shipping label before midnight your in your time zone, each Tuesday. When creating the label, put your address as the Shipper and as the Ship To (Receiving) address. That way you can use the label at any participating shop.
(To use it at my shop, use the code CPLABEL at checkout and it will remove the shipping fee. Then email me your label to hello@atelierfiberarts.com.)

- Enter the package measurements as 5kgs (for shipping to Canadian addresses) or 2kg (for shipping to US addresses) for the weight if shipping. Put the dimensions as 29cm x 29cm x 29cm.
If shipping to the US, put Sewing Supplies as the product for customs, and a max of $100 for the value (that's the max amount Canada Post insures packages for, by default).

- Continue through their check out process and on the last page before paying, enter the code for that week (usually OCT and the date, ie OCT22), and the label will become $0. Purchase your $0 label.

- "Print" (save a digital copy of) your label within 5 days of purchasing. I recommend doing it right away so you don't forget! For the printer name, choose "Save as PDF", then choose where to save it on your device that you will be able to find again easily.

- Email me (hello@atelierfiberarts.com) (or whichever participating shop!) the PDF label after placing your online order.

Notes:

* It's completely free and you don't even have to have a small business. If your package is somehow over the weight limit, Canada Post will charge your credit card for the difference in weight.
