The tape is woven with metallic gold filaments and silk thread. It's very shiny in real life and reminds me of a certain android in a certain sci-fi franchise with the initials SW. lol
It behaves just like standard zipper tape in that you can cut notches in it to shape it around curves without it fraying. But just don't try melting the ends... it's a natural fiber and will burn, not melt!
Zippers are sold by the meter, and come in continuous lengths.

MATTE BLACK FINISH
In a nutshell, the black finish is a thin electroplated coating on top of a silver coloured base metal like zinc or aluminum. It's gorgeous, but it isn't perfect. Be aware that the matte finish is more prone to showing imperfections, and the coating in general can wear off over time. If you scratch it with something sharp, the silver underneath can become visible.
It's all soooo worth it though - you can have matte black make a statement, or take a back seat to your fabric and let it pop. Your choice!
ZIPPERS AND WEBBING
They are cut by the meter (not yard)- but a meter is 39.5". I like to round up to 40" when I measure and cut your order, so you get a little more than a meter each time!
