Rounded Chicago Screws
Sold in sets of 5, matte black screws included.
Like rivets but without needing a press! You will need a screwdriver though. ;)
Use these instead of rivets when securing handles to your bag.
How to Install:
Use a leather punch to make a hole (3/16″ or 5 mm) through all of your layers, push the post through the hole from the front, and screw in the screw at the back. Recommend using a stiff stabilizer around the hole if you think your fabrics might stretch at all. You want to make sure the head of the screw can't shimmy through that hole!
Use “Loctite” or another glue meant for metal to secure if needed. Only use the glue when sure you do not need to remove the screws any more.
DID YOU KNOW?
MATTE BLACK FINISH
In a nutshell, the black finish is a thin electroplated coating on top of a silver coloured base metal like zinc or aluminum. It's gorgeous, but it isn't perfect. Be aware that the matte finish is more prone to showing imperfections, and the coating in general can wear off over time. If you scratch it with something sharp, the silver underneath can become visible.
It's all soooo worth it though - you can have matte black make a statement, or take a back seat to your fabric and let it pop. Your choice!
ZIPPERS AND WEBBING
They are cut by the meter (not yard)- but a meter is 39.5". I like to round up to 40" when I measure and cut your order, so you get a little more than a meter each time!
THE AFA TEAM
My spouse inspects and packages the products when they arrive to AFA HQ, photographs them, prepares the loot bags that come with your order, and packs and ships your orders. I'm so grateful for the help. Retail businesses come with so many hats to wear!!
