The super great and awesome BUTTAH™️ Vinyl is from Weft + Warp Co. Get some while quantities last!
Colour: Distressed Black
Measurements: Factory cut into 18" wide by approx 52" long
Description courtesy of Weft+Warp Co.:
Think of this like suede and vinyl had a baby. Domestic friendly like most of our textiles, it measures about 0.7mm thick but isn’t heavy or dense. You can apply heat to it but as with most vinyl, use a Teflon sheet or pressing cloth on the wrong side, not the right side. Creases can be removed by unfolding it and leaving it flat overnight, pressing it, or tossing it in the dryer on low for a few minutes.
It has minimal stretch but is easily stabilized with your fusible interfacing of choice.
18” by width of vinyl, which is roughly 52”.
BUTTAH™️ ships rolled.
There may be minimal markings on the backside due to supplier identification. Please note these are not considered as flaws. Cuts may also be +/- 0.5 inches due to machine calibration.

DID YOU KNOW?
MATTE BLACK FINISH
In a nutshell, the black finish is a thin coating on top of a silver coloured base metal like zinc or aluminum. It's gorgeous, but it isn't perfect. Be aware that the matte finish is more prone to showing imperfections,, and the coating in general can wear off over time. If you scratch it with something sharp, the silver underneath can become visible.
ZIPPERS AND WEBBING
They are cut by the meter (not yard)- but a meter is 39.5". I like to round up to 40" when I measure and cut your order, so you get a little more than a meter each time!
HOW MANY PRODUCTS
How many darkest bag supplies are in this shop? At the time of my July 2023 inventory count, there are 335 unique items!
THE AFA TEAM
I mostly work alone. I'm either "in the warehouse" (the basement), or "at the office" (a chair in the corner of my bedroom). Sometimes my boyfriend or my friend/neighbour will give me hand. The cats sometimes 'supurrrvise' me while I'm at the office. But for the most part, there is only one person running all aspects of the business.
SHIPPING
Since I get asked this often, I'll add this here. (It's also mentioned in the Shipping Policy.)
Lettermail is not offered due to the lack of tracking and insurance to protect both of us.
It is also too time consuming to determine whether the product can be made flat enough to fit in a Lettermail slot that is no thicker than 2cm(1"). Then unbag the products and repackage them, and then tape them onto a piece of paper, so they are as flat as possible, and don't shift in the envelope while in transit. They then have to be padded for protection, and sothat they don't tear through the envelope. The product plus the thickness of a bubble mailer makes it too thick for Lettermail. Then I have to go out and purchase an envelope of the size required to ensure all products are taped flat, then acquire sufficient postage. Since I predominantly ship parcels and print shipping labels, I don't have all sizes of Lettermail envelopes and denominations of stamps on hand, so a trip to the post office is necessary.
ONE MORE THING
Hey - thanks for visiting my little shop today!
It exists because you are here! <3
It was awesome to work with. I make purses n wallets! Love loved it!
Only problem was order from CA
They need supplier in USA to carry all their wonderful products
It’s beautiful. Would love to get other colours.
Havent sewn with it yet looking forward to making a purse!
This is the first time I’ve owned BUTTAH and I was so impressed it might be difficult for me to actually cut into it! It isn’t flimsy like some soft finish vinyls and it isn’t stiff like some of the vinyls I have purchased. It goes through my domestic sewing machine so nicely. I can’t wait to make a new pattern with it, although I will have to get up the nerve to cut into it … It’s so beautiful!
